The tread pattern takes inspiration from the Scorpion XC RC, focusing on two main aspects: achieving higher speeds on straight paths and enhancing grip during off-road turns.
The SpeedGRIP Compound is a unique rubber mix tailored for gravel, developed from Pirelli’s expertise in the World Rally Championship. This compound balances speed and grip both on and off-road, using the polymer matrix of the MTB-specific SmartGRIP Compound while reducing rolling resistance. This makes the Pirelli Cinturato Gravel RC Tyre ideal for those needing speed and versatility on mixed terrains.
Our engineers have merged road-specific reinforced casings with MTB-specific casings to create an advanced gravel casing. This is achieved through special fabric reinforcements and thicker rubber layers in key areas of the tyre. On roads, punctures often occur from sharp objects, while off-road, sidewall cuts are more common. The TechWALL Gravel features a cut-resistant 120tpi fabric around the tyre’s perimeter, ensuring a smooth ride.
